Rodarte mustard lace cardigan from Tavi!

February 1, 2010 7 Comments

[Rodarte for Target cardigan + Alexander Wang navy pocket tank + Diane von Furstenberg leggings + Kors boots (again. I know.)]

I entered the Rodarte for Target giveaway on Style Rookie, along with roughly 900 other people… and I was a winner! If blogs were only words, Tavi’s would be my favorite. That she has the most trippy, awesome style makes her untouchable. And makes me feel old. (Today also happens to be my birthday… shoo, fly.)

To enter, you had to comment on Tavi’s blog naming your favorite piece from the collection, and why you liked it. I, of course, named the navy tulle blouse, and went into great length and gory detail about why: it was a ballet recital, there was onstage vomiting onto a tutu, then there was helpful brushing away of tutu puke with other tutus… Anyway, lucky for me (and others, one of whom’s email address was frozennipple@___mail.com!) Tavi liked my comment and, tada! A new cardigan.

I styled this outfit with my mom in mind, who I just gave this same cardigan, and already owns these leggings—nice work, madre.

[Hanging out by the Fasig Tipton barns.]

Thanks to Tavi for hooking me up. It was a perfect early birthday present and I promise to do it justice whenever possible, barring any vomiting accidents.

that’s great! I LOVE winning things, winning in general really. I won a NYC travel guide so far on blog giveaways and it’s pretty sweet.

I really love the addition of the fur collar! And I love those leggings I still want a pair…

Speaking of giveaways I’m having one myself on my blog so come on by…it’s alcohol related so I know you’ll like it!

I have yet to win anything when it comes to contests, but I still try! That cardi is the perfect pop of color, love the outfit! Don’t worry about the boots, we all have our “favorites” that we sport more often than others. 😉

    Happy Birthday!!!

ps….and if you’re feeling old, than I must REALLY feel old! Ha..ha..:P

Whenever I read Tavi’s blog I feel so old (and so behind, considering it’s taken me 25 years what took her 13).

The cardigan looks great, I’m tempted to run out and buy it now…seriously. The collar looks great and I can’t give you enough props for styling those leggings properly!

Hey! Happy Birthday to you (one day late)! Love that Rodarte cardi. I bet I could find it in Missoula too, same as the “sold out” Victoria Hagan lamps I love so much.

Hope you and Rob had a fun night out last night!

Just want to say what a great blog you got here!
I’ve been around for quite a lot of time, but finally decided to show my appreciation of your work!

Thumbs up, and keep it going!

    Cheers
