Today’s photo-taking has ranged from the super touristy to the inside of a Dairy Queen bathroom. Let’s see what we’ve got so far:
[Welcome to Carlton, Oregon. You can find the Tyrus Evan/Ken Wright tasting room here. More on that later.]
Things I’ve noticed in Oregon so far: it smells incredible, there is moss everywhere, thrift stores, drive-thru coffee shops (awesome!), greenery where NY boasts brown and grey, and our car gets horrible radio reception no matter where we are. We are in heaven.
[“Mountains in the distance!” That one’s for mom. Man, the East Coast is pretty lame sometimes.]
[Hanging out among the vines with Ryan from Vista Hills.]
[Roadside beauty.]
[Tonight’s agenda for wine tasting at the hotel. We were planning on visiting Domaine Serene on Saturday anyway… tres bien.]
There is an absurd amount of photos to upload… but we have to go play with the auto-drawing privacy shades. Oh, and the bathtub—because I totally gave up my pre-dinner nap action for this post. But don’t pity me, please.

So Jealous! Hope you guys will share on Partners In Wine Club! Have a glass or five for me!
done and done!
Dude, how far are you from Forks, Washington? Stop there and get me a commemorative shot
glass, wouldja?
ahahhahahaha. Port Angeles… so close, but yet so near! Let’s see how far our little Mazda rental car can take us, eh?
Oregonians say, “The mountain is out!” on days like this in winter. Decent, even good, beer and wine can be found almost everywhere. Even dive bars and 7-11s. Hope you two are having a great time here!
Dang. You are 6 hours and 59 minutes from La Push beach! Have an awesome adventure, y’all!
Dude! I kept elbowing Rob during a tasting today where a map was set out, and I saw Port Angeles, and I was like, “Yo that is where Bella freaking ALMOST GETS JUMPED.”
in the top picture it looks like you are heading in to the real estate place…hmm….maybe not a bad idea…?!
cin cin. 🙂
Wow, it’s really beautiful there. I don’t know why but I have never really given Oregon a second thought. Have fun, and maybe we can go wine tasting with you guys sometime. 🙂
That would be awesome.
Wonderful photos! I’m in love with your boots! Gorgeous!!
Hey guys
Those are some incredible pictures. It was a pleasure to show you around yesterday.
Carey, I hope you’re feeling better today.
Ryan
there’s a lot more where that came from! it was just a preview. Thanks, I’m ready and rarin’, as they say.
Have an amazing time wish I was there have tons of fun!!!!!!
Carey: You need to talk Rob into splurging for a bed & breakfast while you’re enjoying the wines of Willamette Valley. If you think you love the bathtub in the hotel, you haven’t seen the B&Bs yet.
Enjoy your trip. What a great post!
