A hearty Happy Easter to all you funbunnies and peeps.
Rob popped M&Ms in his mouth with a huge smile on his face while I looked on from the kitchen drinking Riesling right from the bottle. And those were just the before noon activities. Flashforward to the park: the weather was glorious, the Kadima flatulent at best (I blame my diluted motor skills), the Nerds were flowing [“Gross, pick up your…herpes.” “They are not herpes.”], and the mood was effervescent.
Thanks for the Easter basket trimmings, Mom!
Witness the feast of Peeps. Bottom left is a gem.
Too much sugar. A little lady with a recorder serenaded us with “Mary Had A Little Lamb”—or, I should say, a ‘rendition’ of MHALL. About 40 times. Rob suggested she play something a little more obscure. “Do you know anything by the Dandys…? B-sides…? Rarities?”
These poor girls have sure seen better days. Today was one of them:
I don’t even like pale pink. Weird.
Speaking of peeps, and not the marshmellowy kind, check these out. Are you paying attention?
[Thanks for allowing the photo op, random purveyor of coolness!]
Because it’s not really a trip to the park unless you’ve brought a large, green velvet armchair with you. Dude! How amazing is that! I feel so enlightened, like it’s finally ok for me to bring large stuffed furniture to outdoor venues—Cami, I’ll need you to ship Granny’s chaise lounge ASAP. I know I speak for Rob when I say that we find normal, publicly supplied seating options to be less than adequate.
BTW, whimsy is my drug of choice.
Now for some holiday trivia:
Happy Easter!

I simply love your blog, it is so clever.
Thank you, Natalie. I can’t begin to tell you how happy a comment like this makes me—we are just having so much fun with the blog, and really getting back the roots of why we started it. Funny, when you stop trying to fit a mold, creativity comes at an excess! And that makes it ever sweeter when someone says they like to read it. I’m so glad you enjoy! Thank you (x400) for the comment 🙂
I am 100% positive that the creepers lounging against the trees are my former downstairs neighbs.
Ha! They were they for hours, and I guarantee they played no Kadima. But they eventually joined forces under one tree to no doubt discuss the scattered ass.
everything about this is so damn right. That velvet chair? what was his name?
Happy Easter to the three of you from the two of us.
xx
Wah! Now that dude on the green chair sure knows how to enjoy life!
ahhaha, this post made me lol all over the place. The bunny mask photos could have totally been in a Jane editorial back in the day. I used to love that magazine so much.
Simply delightful. Looks like a pretty fantastic day.
