Corks + Caftans

Scenes from the Bronx.

June 13, 2010 14 Comments

What a damned magical Saturday. We barreled into the Bronx, tailgated with minimal hassle (only in the form of a public urination citation), soaked up the sun, heckled some fans, saw home runs soar into the crowd, and had an all-around amazing time—with old friends and with new.

[U spelt it rite!]

A shade break with some Hoegaarden:

I heart NY:

The only totally bizarre thing? I wore a new pair of clogs, for the first time ever, to a baseball game in beating hot sunshine—and I walked away without sausage feet. Say what? You fo real? Someday I’ll figure out that sneakers are my friend.

(p.s. Go Cubs!)

Was at Nords today, and couldn’t believe I was smitten with a pair of JS “June” slides (clogs)! I was “this close” to pullin the trigger! But I just couldn’t do it! It’s not a real wood heel!!! It kills me! But they were pretty cute. 😉

Oh and I’ve made up my mind, buying the Madewell denim shorts! 🙂 WHAHOO!!! Glad you had an awesome weekend!

The entire time I was reading this post, I had J.Lo yelling “from the bronx!” in the back of my mind.

Those shoes are killer. I’ve been lovin on all the JC clog shoes lately but also have my eye on those House of Harlow beaded moccasins – you know the ones, right? Holier than Now did a post with them in it awhile back and now I’m downright obsessed.

    Go Cubs? Traitor!

Lovin the clogs. After I got your email I tried checking them out at Anthropologie and the website was down. I considered it divine intervention, Ha Ha.

the bag is so key. pickpockets don’t stand a chance. does anyone pickpocket anymore, or did I just make that up?
