A night that couldn’t get any better did—with the surprise visit of one of our dearest friends who was in from a hike, kissed by the sun, and most importantly, thirsty. We walked down to The Local to wrap up a fantastic Sperry’s steak dinner with a couple of beers and great conversation.
[Zara silk fringed poncho/dress + Jeffrey Campbell clogs.]
Amazing that we found anywhere in town that wasn’t crawling with peeps, give Phish’s annual 2-night Saratoga blow-out that renders otherwise sleepy sidewalks, gas stations, and sandwich joints swarming hives of hippies clad in bikini tops and floor length batik skirts.
If deemed worthy (or, “local” enough? to be honest, I’ve never asked), you too can sponsor your own badge of honor—a Local pint mug, reserved just for you. Get on the waiting list today.
When you’re not in pounding pints, come for the tea and the traditional British pub fare. This is my favorite lunch spot in Saratoga—cucumber tea sandwiches, bangers and mash, fish and chips, bubble and squeak, and shepherd’s pie.
A whisper of things to come:
Hey Ryan: we love you.

Were you wearing anything under the poncho/dress?? And you look very mysterious hiding behind your hair. 😉
Missed out on the Stuart Weitzman clogs on Gilt the other day! 🙁
jean shorts and a tank top, it’s tucked into the front of the shorts 🙂
Walked from downtown to the local in those heels?
also walked the Bronx and all of Yankee Stadium in those heels….
(clogs are surprisingly comfortable and supportive, I got no complaints!)
Looks like you closed the place down!
indeed we did! I always forget they have an early last call…. but it was a blessing, or I would have been in worse shape the next day!
and for some reason i am totally drawn to your bag, beautiful assemble as always
Wacko is fantastic, btw
