Thought I’d push something out into the void, Internet!
Here’s a little taste of RVA for you… a few things I managed to do & see around the hood between stretches of near-constant work for the last 4 weeks. Literally, I haven’t had a day without work in as long as I can remember. Summer is the exact opposite of my general impressions of it, carried over from a time when it meant battling boredom, not juggling endless deadlines.
This is the steeple I see out my bedroom window. Damn, Richmond, you give good tree! The crepe myrtles have been insane this summer. Also, I’m old. I talk about flowers now.
A sweaty jaunt to the post office revealed this stupendous ivy Hannibal Lecter heart in a back alley:
My best girl passed these vintage glasses along to me; I’ve made excellent use of them so far:
And a rare moment of non-billable bliss without any emails to disrupt it: a Sunday burger explosion at Burger Bach in Carytown.
Decisions, decisions:
I’ll leave you with this, before my next post, which has been percolating for a month or so. Heavy shit.
Good words for a Monday:
Some people are like teabags—they don’t know their own strength until they get in hot water.”

Cheers to cooler temperatures, literally & figuratively.
