Not that I’m a pusherman, but a deal’s a deal. Wish I knew about this before I bought that sexy, zip up long-sleeved bathing suit last week. I’d hope that it ends up being too small so I have to return it and reorder with the code, but that actually sounds like a bloody nightmare.
So, what else has been up lately?
Recently, I went on a pretty great couple of Twitter rants. A favorite was about how I hate bananas—but not as a food. It’s more deep than that. Fuckin’ bananas, man!
I’ve decided Twitter is my new home for stashing weird thoughts—not Facebook. Apparently if you post a lot on Facebook, you have no life, and aren’t cool. I know this because all the cool bitches I knew from middle school never post. But they’re there. And probably talk about how much I post. Also, some friend of some person Rob knows once posited: “Does Carey just post on Facebook all day?” which was pretty dick since I was chained to a desk at a 9-5 job, and, like, what are you doing, playing with a baby, trolling my stuff, you sack of shit? Good on me for at least finding a way to not rot into the floorboards of boredom, right?
So, Twitter… yea. I also told the story of #myworstjobever which kinda gets me going. Fun-nee.
Kintsugi came out! And my God, it’s good. Forget that it’s banana-colored for a minute and look at that pretty font.
I Love You, Honeybear also came out, but more to the point: Rob and I fangirled it and listened to the vinyl before we went to see his show up in DC for Rob’s birthday. I’d say I didn’t spend the whole weekend thinking about all the work I needed to be doing, but that’d be a lie.

On that note, I’ve had a bad month. I didn’t know months could be this bad, when you have, like, all your limbs and aren’t being held in a torture chamber? I try and be happy about being alive, but it’s impossible with the level of stress I’m under. The coolest part being: I did it to myself. So, here, you see me drinking a large format beer I purchased in a bag on the way home from work. Eli and I tried to celebrate March being over, but then April started. And she’s been just as bad.
See you in a few.
