Corks + Caftans

Maxi dresses: because I said so.

June 25, 2011 3 Comments

I’ve been seeing some painfully lovely maxi dress looks all over the place lately.

via The Sartorialist:

via Garance Dore:

Aurora Sansone, via All The Pretty Birds:

Now, buy some:

[A.L.C., Pencey Standard.]

[Blu Moon, Clover Canyon.]

[Odylyne, Sheri Bodell.]

[The Addison Story, Winter Kate.]

All via shopbop.

Obviously a tiny sliver of what’s out there, but all of which I’d happily welcome into my closet.

I love all of my maxis equally. I literally space out their wear so that everyone has enough time. But on casual Fridays in the summer at my fairly conservative DC office, I have yet to figure out how to work a maxi dress and end up wearing the same summer work-appropriate dresses I rock all week long. So, solve that one!

I was on a maxi binge for awhile there, I have yet to even share all of them. Now I’m on shorts! 😉 Love that Winter Kate one.

your killin’ me Carey. Thought i had enough…. now this. Immediately looking for “that one that is soooo different from the ones I have”… shit. Brilliance in this post though… that first one that looks like a beautiful breed of half maxi/half caftan. Yum.

    xx
